The Moyie River 9/2012

The last few years we've tried to stay at Jesse's uncle's cabin (formerly his grandpas) on the Moyie River for a night or two each summer.  It is a cute little A-frame with an attic.
Our kids love the spiral staircase.
Jesse gave us all turns in the rowboat.
It was so relaxing, Asher fell asleep!
We eat especially well.  Our favorite this year was the fire roasted corn.  It was so flavorful, it didn't need butter or salt!
Cute little people!
I asked everyone to put a hotdog on a stick.  I guess Jessica felt REALLY hungry because this is what she came back with.  :)
Jesse cooked them all for her, but we helped her eat them.
This boy likes fire and food!
Asher liked plain chocolate more than our smores.
It's a happy day when you find a frog!
It's a pretty river.
The trail from the water to the cabin.
Tinfoil dinners!
They like to build forts.  With logs like giant Lincoln logs!

View from the cabin.
We went on a hike.
Jessica wanted a picture of the "Christmas tree" her size.
The kids picked some wildflowers.
Alexis still likes snakes.  Eew.
Not sure what the name of this Lake is.  It looked a little bigger than Sinclair Lake.
We always begin or end our trip to the Moyie with a stop at this Mennonite Bakery and grocery.   We'll be back!
