Terrace View Pool 8/2010

Our kids took swimming lessons with their cousins at the very pool that Jesse took lessons at when he was a kid!  I do love the outdoor pools here in Spokane!

Daddy-Daughter Date 8/2010

Our kids earn points when they do chores, and when they get enough they get to do a date with Dad.  Alexis chose to go fishing.  I was actually surprised when they came home with a beautiful rainbow trout.  Alexis was SO happy.  (It was still flopping around-we aren't very good at killing things it turns out.)  It was a bloody business, but we finally managed to get it cooked.  We found out later that the area they fished was catch and release only.  Oops!  (I find it humorous that Jesse is wearing his standby rubber-gloves).

Goodbye Sienna 8/2010

Before I had kids, I said I never wanted a mini-van.  I was too cool for a Mom car.  Now it's sort of funny that I am writing a blog-post about how I really miss our Sienna!  For six years, it served our family and I LOVED it.  It had all the little bells and whistles you could want in a car.  We've since moved on to a Suburban to make room for Asher.  We needed a car with 8 seats.  It's ironic that someone from Portland found it on Spokane's Craigslist and bought it since that's where we lived most of the time we had it.

It's was a pretty little mom-car.  :)

John's 5th Birthday 8/2010

John wanted a Mario Brothers/Slip-n-slide birthday party this year.  He isn't really a toddler anymore.
My little boy is growing up!

Cousins and friends!

May all your wishes come true John-John!

The punch balls as favors went over well!

Medieval Costume 8/2010

Alexis and Julia just whipped up this home sewn costume for Annie.  They are so creative!

Lemonade Stand 8/2010

I allow my kids one lemonade stand per year.  It's an all day process.  :)  Annie starts begging me to do one starting about April.  This year they did pretty well with the addition of Sunchips.  They love summer!

Riverfront Park 8/2010

We had to visit Riverfront Park with Becca.  The gondola's are always fun.

This is Annie's personality summed up in a picture.

The Beautiful Spokane Falls in the background.

The famous Looff Carousel.

Moyie River 7/10

Jesse's Grandpa Fox passed on the family cabin on the Moyie to Jesse's Uncle Chuck, who is kind enough to let us stay there sometimes.  We went up with his sister Marjorie's family and his brother Baden's family.  We had a great time with all of our kids!

Fishing was fun, but we didn't get anything this time.  (Well, Uncle Mike did).

I have a lot of memories of fishing Minter Creek, when I was a kid.  It was really special to see Julia having a go at it.

John and his fire stick were inseparable.  Like most boys his age by a campfire.

William had his second birthday while we were there.  He's a little cutie.

Sinclair Lake is a cute little lake.

The kids made a little cabin of their own with the firewood and scraps around.
