Happy 33rd Jesse!

September 11th doesn't conjure up the idea of celebrating to most Americans. We feel a sense of reverence for what our country went through 8 years ago. It just so happens to be Jesse's birthday so we had a nice dinner, some popcorn cake and he's off to play baseball with the kids on the field across the street. Low key, but nice. Happy Birthday Jess!!

I love this girl. 9/09

Jessica and I hanging out in the office.

She got to go to her nursery class for the first time this week at church. She is a pretty serious baby so I wasn't sure how she'd do. See seemed to like it, but I did stay the whole time! :) we'll see how she does when I'm not there. She has the best teacher so I'm not too worried. I can't believe she's 18 months old!!

Goodbye! 8/09

This was our last day of our fun summer with Becca!

Becca's last day 8/09

I went in and took these on her last day of work here. She's moving into her dorms tomorrow!! Wow. She's going to college!

The Oregon Zoo 8/09

Annie and John pretending to be eagles in the eagles nest.

We went with Becca to The Oregon Zoo where we have a membership. The kids have fun every time we go. Jessica was the most excited now that she's learning her animals.

Looking at the salmon.

The black bears are so cute.

John was happy to see that this tractor had his name on it. There was a line of kids waiting for their turn. John didn't want to get off!!

Becca helped with the stroller. It sure made it easier to have an extra pair of hands with these five little ones!

How many kids can you fit on a goat?

They're trapped!!

We'll miss this zoo!

Reptile Man! 8/09

Our local library puts on great events for kids during the summer each week. They are usually at the Tualatin Commons by the lake, but it was raining so this particular evening it was held at the library instead. The reptile show is probably my kids favorite event of the summer!

Jessica hiding in the corner.

A king snake. Don't worry, it's just a harmless look-a-like to the venomous coral snake.

A snake bracelet for Annie...

A snake crown for John...

Everyone got a turn petting the alligator.

This caught Julia in an odd position.

Thanks Reptile Man!!!
