Lake Coeur de Alene 7/2011

I went with our kids and Abe and Betsy's family to play at the beach on Lake Coeur de Alene in Idaho.  It's only 15 minutes from our house, and the closest thing we have here to the ocean that we miss terribly.  It was a fun afternoon!

I melt when Jessica peeks at me over her glasses like that.

Little girls are so cute in swimsuits!

Alexis is growing up!!

Asher wasn't sure what to think of the sand.

Tea 7/2011

I can't tell you how it warmed my heart to show up at Grandma's house and find that little cousin Faith had prepared a tea party for two, her and our Jessica.  I have a fondness for tea parties so it's fun to see my children enjoy them as well!
Aren't these handmade place mats sweet?!

Miss Jessica.
The hostess, Miss Faith.

The Big Hike 7/2011

Most of the family was able to participate in a family hike and testimony meeting on Foxhill.  Young and old alike set out on a fun adventure.
Do you like Jesse's backpack?  It's actually my purse, not exactly rugged, but it did the trick.  I also improvised and used my nursing cover as a hat for Asher, since I left his in the car.

The views are scenic and beautiful!
The brush was pretty dense.  I love lush green walks.
Jesse's little brother Baden and his son William.

Elinor and Annie always like to stick together.
The testimony meeting at the end was a wonderful official end to the reunion!!  It was especially sweet to hear the children.  Even little 3 year old Jessica bore her little testimony.  So cute.
Grandpa Fox and words of wisdom.

Line Dancing 7/2011

You know it's going to be a fun time when you walk into the cultural hall at church and there are chickens!  This line/square dancing lesson was one of the highlights of the Fox Family Reunion this year.  (Thanks Mary Ellen & Baden!!)
We started out with the chicken dance of course.
The Squires are great teachers!
Even the little ones were catching on!

I figured this out a couple of reunions ago when we did Mama Mia, but my sister-in-laws have a great deal more rhythm than I do.  If I were on Dancing With the Stars, I'd totally make a fool of myself and be voted out the first week.  I'll just stick to the once a year reunion dancing.  :)

Roller Valley 7/2011

This is our 2nd time doing Roller Valley at the Fox Family Reunion, and it was a hit again!

John was fearless on his rollerblades this year!
Jesse and I took turns pushing Asher around in the stroller. It's so nice they allow them!!
Jessica, ever the cutie.
There was a lot of cousin love!

Pizza and drinks for everyone!
The races were fun-
The men's adult race is always competitive!
Although there is quite a bit of arm-flailing.
My honey. I'm sure he broke a few hearts on the slow songs back in the day.
These girls were three peas-in-a-pod.

He fell asleep!
The faces say it all!

Fox Jeopardy 7/2011

Meet Jesse's brother, Abe Trebek-complete with fake mustache!!  We were thrilled he was in character the whole time!!
The pictures turned out poorly, but this is one of the highlights of the reunion.  Baden and Mary Ellen came up with the game and the "Fox Trivia" was funny and entertaining!  We hope to play this again in the future!!
