Ward Halloween Party

John was happy to find his friend Bo dressed as a pirate at our fun ward party. John was Peter, from Narnia.

Philip Foster Farm 10/08

I've got a lot of pictures here, but these are for us to remember. Twice a year a local farm puts on a historical homeschool day to help kids live a day in the life of an Oregon pioneer. We've been a few times. My kids always have a great time. We brought their friend Ainsley with us too!

Jessica is 7 months old! 10/01/08

Time sure flies.

Church Guys

I bought some toys for John to keep him busy during Sacrament meeting at church. He has the "church guys" like the stripling warriors fight the ninja turtles. He gets excited when Sunday morning comes so he can play with them.

Her first mess. 9/08

While I was checking my email I let Jessica play on the floor in my office and she found a watercolor pencil on the floor! Boy was I surprised when I looked at her!

The Headless Horsegirl 10/08

Annie tilted her head way back and put this pumpkin on to scare us all!

Happy 32nd Birthday Jesse! Popcorn cake and kids.

Typical

Most boys probably don't like wearing their church belt, but John has figured out a useful way to put it to work in his favor! Arg.

Night owl

I don't know how to rotate this picture. One night after I thought all the kids were in bed Annie came into our room and invited us to a picnic. Cute right? It was 11 o'clock at night!! I know she gets it from me, but really. I wish my kids needed more sleep.

Homeschool Pictures

These are my kids "school pictures". I took these in September at the start of our official school year.

Mandy's Tag

I was tagged MONTHS ago by my friend Mandy, and I'm finally doing it! I'm home from Church with sick kids so I have a little time. This will be fun!

Answer these 15 questions about yourself on your blog. List 3 Joys, 3 Fears, 3 Goals, 3 Current Obsessions/Collections and 3 Random/Surprising facts. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names.

3 Joys:

1. The Savior. Without him and His gospel, I wouldn't have any joys at all!
2. Family. I'm blessed to be part of a family and home where we love, respect and like each other!
3. When I get it? Sleep. This is an elusive thing for me. I never seem to get enough. What I wouldn't do for one night of uninterrupted sleep!

3 Fears:

1. My kids or husband getting a major illness or dying prematurely.
2. People seeing my house a mess. (Which it frequently is).
3. That my kids will never grow out of their picky-eating habits.

3 Goals:

1. To raise educated, wise, faithful children.
2. To be one of those "genealogy" old ladies and work in the temple.
3. To visit some places I love even though I've never been there: England, Ireland, Italy.

3 Current Obsessions:

1. My daily routine: Pray, eat, read scriptures, work-out, teach kids math, eat lunch, etc. etc.
2. My husband. I don't get to see him often enough.
3. Trying to be the best Mom ever!

3 Current Collections:

1. Teacups. I grew up going to my Great-Grandmother Steven's house and seeing her teacup collection. I've always loved going to tea and I adore the formality of it.
2. Books, books, books. I probably spend half of my budget on books! Classics and children's books are my favorites right now.
3. Pottery-barn kids plates. We have them for every holiday they sell. We're hoping for St. Patrick's Day and Cinco De Mayo!

3 Random/Surprising Facts:

1. I get the Sunday paper and read it every week. It's one of my little indulgences I allow myself.
2. I'm really good at remembering birthdays. (With the help of my calendar.)
3. I love ALL movies set in England. Especially period pieces.

Okay so this is more than 5, I tag my sister-in-laws (who I think might do it): Melissa, Betsy, Katie, Marjorie and Mary Ellen and my old college roommates: Kirsten, Sharese, Amy and Tyra
