Fox Reunion 8/2012

This year's reunion was in Utah, and it generally starts with lots of cousin hugs!
These are some of the preteens doing their thing.

We went for a quick swim with some of the Mom's and kids.  It was gorgeous weather!
Some teenager cousins.
Mini-Jesse.
Katie pregnant with her sixth child and her first girl!  We had a shower for her at Mimi's.
We have a lot of girls in this family!
And mom's and Grandma!
I don't think she could smile any bigger.  :)
 It was an enjoyable afternoon.
Guess where we visited?
The view from the SWKT.  Abe the family organizer organized us a special tour.
It was hot up there!
These two wish we had reunions more often!
Bowling at the BYU Wilkinson Center was a must!
 Grandma and Asher bonded.
I think they might have had fun.
These teens were playing it cool.   I especially enjoy Clark's smoldering expression in this one.
Thanks for planning a super day Abe!

Peas 8/2012

Shelling peas we grew in our garden.
I always think of the movie Pollyanna when they shell peas.  So cute.

Fiddler on the Roof 8/2012

My three girls tried out for a community production of Fiddler on the Roof and they all made it!  After the try outs the director said, "Are there any more Foxes?".  He liked them!  Their aunt and cousin also made it into the show.  It was a fun summer for them!  There were a lot of practices.  This is the "family picture" Annie played the part of Bielke, one of the sisters.  The Tevya was AMAZING.  He seriously could be on Broadway.
In the basement of the Bing Crosby Theatre downtown Spokane.  By the way-I LOVE Bing Crosby's music and movies.

It's a lovely old theater.
Their costumes were so darling!  I wish girls all still dressed like this.
The seven sisters!
The Green Room-There is supposed to be a lot of parental involvement.  I was lazy and signed up for Greenroom duty.  I feel sorry for the costume and set committees.  They did much more work!
The ghost scene costumes.

Other than Tevya, Fruma -Sarah was the other star of the show.  It happens to be Jesse's show-stopping sister.  She actually was so scary, I saw a few toddlers get rushed out during the scene of the night I went to watch crying.
 Good job Marj!  (Poor kids)
The Sunrise/Sunset cookies were yummy.
They were fortunate to have some cousins and lots of friends come watch!
I love this picture of my little Starlets!  Great job girls!  The music permeated our home for months.  This will be a lifelong memory.  We hope to do another show next summer, but I doubt anything will be as enjoyable for me, as this is my favorite musical.

Encampment 7/2012

Jesse's dad has been working for years to head up this huge scout camp at Cowles Scout Reservation, located twenty minutes west of Newport, Washington. It was July 30 to August 4, 2012, the Cowles Scout Reservation hosted more than 2,000 boys and leaders from 17 stakes for the 2012 Aaronic Priesthood Encampment.  If you want to know more about it check out the website:

Jesse was able to attend with some of his brothers Stu, Abe and Baden and and nephews, Ford, Clark and Adam.
They  had a fantastic and memorable time!
The previous year they actually built the camp where the encampment was held, called Camp Sunrise which was unused raw land that was part of the camp Cowles reservation.  It was a labor of love and we're so grateful to Jesse's dad for working so hard to put on a world class event.

Terrace View Pool 7/2012

Time for the annual swim lesson photos.  I love the outdoor pools here!

As usual, we took up the pool with cousins.
