Davenport Breakfast 12/2014

I got to take my mom out to my favorite breakfast at the Davenport Hotel. So delicious! We enjoyed walking around reading the history of the hotel for a couple of hours sans kids. It was a special day!

Funny 11/2014

For some reason this cartoon reminded me of my dad. Maybe because he loves olives. :)

Thanksgiving week 2014

The leaves keep coming, and the kids keep raking and jumping!
Then we got some snow!  Happy day!
Smells like heaven!  Apple and dutch apple pies!
Brought this guy up to Grandma Fox's story time. (Thanks Pinterest!)
The best thing of all is that my mom came up from Utah to celebrate with us!  We all went to Foxhill together. My mom is so sweet.  She compared it to a Hallmark Thanksgiving with the beautiful log home and setting, kids and food.  It was wonderful. Thanks to my Step-Father Dave for sharing her with us. :)

Debate 11/2014

Alexis won a trophy and a monkey (?) at a debate tournament.  She's having a great first year!

November 2014

John made this cute paper pumpkin in art class!
I just adore our leafy trees and backyard view! It makes me feel so happy to see my children work outside.
Annie had a fun time at a superhero Activity Days event. She has had fantastic leaders and it's such a great group of girls!
Do you see anything in the leaves?
Surprise!
After a cubscout Veteran's Day flag raising ceremony the kids enjoyed blueberry muffins and hot cocoa.  We're so grateful for the veterans (and the scout leaders)!

Halloween 2014

Our four youngest went trick-or-treating....
Came home and passed out candy...
Admired our pumpkins....
Gorged on candy...
Watched It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown...
Continued to make us smile...and I completely forgot what Alexis and Julia did with friends. I guess I shouldn't wait a year to blog these things!

Pumpkin Carving 10/14

The annual tradition begins!
Jessica isn't afraid to dig in and get messy.  That's actually a novel thing at our house. (Note the rubber gloves on Jesse)
Julia likes to take her time on her carving.
John and his yearly stabbing the pumpkin.
Julia's Tinkerbell turned out so well!

Sister Call's Homecoming 10/2014

Jesse's niece Lani returned from her mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She spent 18 months in Omaha, Nebraska.  It was so fun to see her at the airport when she got back.  Her family was over the moon!

Ward Party 10/2014

I have to post pictures from our annual church party.  Here are Mary Poppins and a farmer.
Asher and one of his buddies.  They are the same age.  Asher may be short, but look at those abs!!
A fox, a question mark, Pippi Longstocking and Spider Man!

Vegas 10/2014

A major added bonus of going to Nathan and Megan's wedding was visiting my sister Heather and her family, and that Becca and her family drove up from Arizona to visit as well!  I love a sister reunion.  Don't I have beautiful sisters? Also, I wish I had pink pants like Becca. :)
Heather's family lived (at the time) at Nellis Air Force in Las Vegas. It has a nice pool which sadly was closed, but it was still good to take the kids on a walk.  Our kids were at home taking care of themselves in Liberty Lake.  They were jealous we got to see their cute cousins.  Felicity is so sweet, she walks the neighbors dog for free!
Becca's little girl Hallie is a sweetie!
Becca and Christian are awesome!
Libby couldn't get enough of Jesse's bedtime stories.  She is such a good listener!

I was happy to get lots of hugs.  I wish I would have taken pictures of Shad and the boys too!  We were able to get in an adult date to a really delicious pizza place.  So fun!  We're grateful Shad and Heather were willing to host us for a couple of days!

Nathan Usher's Wedding 10/2014

I guess since it's been a year since I blogged, I'm due. This is what we were doing last year. :) Attending one of Jesse's best friend's wedding!  In sunny Vegas no less!  It was a wonderful thing to do in October. Here's Jesse and me at the Las Vegas Temple grounds.  Don't ask me why I didn't put down my mom purse for the picture.
Nathan and Megan make a gorgeous couple!!
How cute are her parents?
Nathan has such a great family. I love their sense of humor!!
Three high school friends, reunited!  Jesse, Nathan and Rusty.
The temple in Vegas is stunning!
The wedding party. You know you're at a nice country club when the grass is this green in Las Vegas!
I wish this wasn't grainy, I LOVE this picture. So sweet.
At the Red Rock Country Club. One thing I learned, dance parties are so fun, when you can dance. I cannot, so I was hitting up the food tables after embarrassing myself a little on the dance floor.  This was the nicest reception I've ever been to!
I like having an excuse to dress up now and again!
