Leavenworth Random Photos 12/2011

Alexis has been reading Shannon Hales "Books of the Bayern" so she and Julia were excited about this!

Yummy food.

More yummy food.

Jessica got tired and lay down on this bench outside one of the shops and she was out!

Becca at the Nutcracker Museum.
John has been doing this finger pointing thing in pictures lately.  He's such a Fox.
This live Nativity was really special to watch with the kids.  They gave out free hot chocolate at the end too!
The perfect ending to our trip was at the Gingerbread Factory!

Sleigh Ride 12/2011

A trip to Leavenworth isn't complete without the requisite snowy sleigh ride!
If you got a New Year's card from us, this picture probably looks familiar!

Alexis, Karen and my Dad.

My Dad acting goofy!
Our driver.
Jessica listened to the sleigh bells by closing her eyes.
The sun was beautiful!

We got warmed by this wood burning fire.  It felt so good!

Leavenworth Lights 12/2011

Leavenworth is so charming at night with all the lights.  It was cold, but beautiful!
Best friends!
Jesse loves his little sweet pea!

Still in love after 13+ years!

The Soup Cellar 12/2011

He wanted steak, not prime rib.  He has a rough life.
The soup cellar is famous for it's soup, but it's hot cocoa is yummy also!

Enzian Inn 12/2011

Whenever I went to Leavenworth as a child, we stayed at the Enzian Inn.  We have to keep up tradition!  Every morning you are serenaded by live Alpenhorn music.  It is amazing! The breakfast is delicious as well!

Annie and Asher look so cute in this picture.  They are in a sleigh in the lobby.  I loved the fresh roasted candied pecans.  It smelled heavenly in there!
All the furniture is painted Bavarian style.
I wish someone made my bed everyday!

Christmas Vacation 12/2011

My Dad, Step mom Karen and sister Becca came up for Christmas and we all stayed for two nights in Leavenworth, WA.  We visited this candy factory on the way and sampled their wares.  It's kind of Grandma candy, but it was still fun.

Ugly Sweater Party 12/2011

We were invited to a good friends "ugly sweater" party, and here we are looking, well, ugly.  It's hard to look good in a school teacher snowman sweater and a plastic kids cowboy hat.  It was fun to laugh at each other though!  You can't see it very well, but Jesse is brandishing a family Fox belt buckle.

Another sleeping picture 12/2011

I'm probably the only one who enjoys these sleeping shots of my kids, but I have to put this on here!

Annie 12/2011

Annie is so festive.  She was up early one morning working feverishly on all her Christmas cards complete with handmade snowflakes!

Diorama 12/2011

I love Annie's imagination.  She makes things like this all the time.  Without help or prompting!

Thanksgiving 11/2011

It's Thanksgiving on Foxhill!  It is always a wonderful time and wonderful food and grandpa's famously delicious gravy!!

Samatha always helps the kids put on a little Thanksgiving skit, complete with costumes!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Daddy Date 11/2011

Alexis and Julia earned a date with Jesse by doing lots of chores and went ice skating.  They stopped at the Riverfront Park Clock Tower for a photo op.

Best Friends!
