Christmas Letter 12/2012

Fox Family Christmas 2012

I am late in a Christmas message, and we departed from our traditional card. Hopefully we will do them next year, but I can't guarantee it.  Life has been crazy busy!

Here's the lowdown for the year:

We moved. Again!! This time it wasn't by choice. The homeowners we were renting from for two years went into foreclosure. So although we were paying our rent, they weren't paying the mortgage. We moved after a few weeks of packing into our new home in February. We're renting another home in Liberty Lake that is more spacious. We are hoping to sell our home in Tualatin, OR this summer.

Jesse: Fox Property Group is in its 3rd year! The time has gone by quickly. He is working on two developments now, among other things. He works so hard and we are proud of him. He's the 2nd counselor working with the young men (deacons) in our church. They are 12-13 years old and he is really enjoying that. It's a stand-out group of boys.

Amy: I am still homeschooling our six children. I am the Primary President of our new ward and we have a very large Primary. I keep counting my blessings, my wonderful husband and kids are at the top of the list. We went as a family on a weekend visit to my home, Gig Harbor, WA recently, and it was perfectly delightful. I'm mindful of my grandma memories this season as my sweet GG passed away in September.

Alexis 13- She is the Beehive Secretary of her class at church. Her big accomplishment this year was completing her Personal Progress Young Womanhood Recognition Award. Pretty amazing for a 13 year old! She is a go-getter and when she sets her mind to something, there is no stopping her!

Julia 11- Julia's feet are bigger than mine now. She'll be the next one taller than me, she's working on it. She and Alexis started taking ballet this year and have the perfect long legs for it. They are both so pleased to be dancing. She is wearing her second round of braces.

Annie 9-This summer Alexis, Julia and Annie all tried out and made it into a community production of Fiddler on the Roof. It was time consuming, but a worthwhile endeavor. They love to be onstage! Alexis and Julia were villagers and Annie got to be one of the sisters, Bielke. She was so cute!! She is our #2 in braces. She has developed a talent for hula-hooping that is fun to watch.

John 7-John is a boy. Boys like food. When fed, he is a contented man. Potstickers are his favorite food. He also still does quite a bit of LEGO building and tries to do his school quickly so he can play with his friends. He is going to be our #3 in braces. He has an appliance right now to prep him for braces in a few months. We're keeping our orthodontist in business.  He and Annie did soccer for the first time this year!

Jessica 4-This little cutie follows around her siblings and wants to do everything that they do. She is notorious for getting into make-up and nail polish and is crazy about the color purple. She has taken a liking to drawing lately and we're going through a lot of paper.

Asher 2-Our baby is two! He is a happy little guy and is so fortunate to have all these older siblings that love him and dote on him. His red hair is getting a little thicker. He's a mini-Jesse. He is fond of dancing and is busting out some pretty great moves. He is talking more every day.

Best wishes for a magnificent 2013! Love, the Fox Family
