Independence Day was on Sunday this year so we had Marjorie and Samatha put together a program to celebrate. Each family had a part in it, but my personal favorite, was Russell at the "podium". He was so at home there and being the political genius that he is, was a very fitting place for him.

Our family sang "This Land is Your Land" by Woodie Guthrie.
Jesse's cousin Sarah's husband, Dan Powell served in Iraq and talked about his tour of duty. We were all crying by the time he was done. The patriotic feeling was palpable.
